Christopher Pyne, Shadow Minister for Education, has confirmed that under a Coalition Government the SES funding model would be maintained.

In a letter to CSA Mr Pyne has indicated that while the full education policy is yet to be announced, they remain committed to the current arrangements beyond 2012.

This includes the current Funding Maintenance and Funding Guarantee categories.

The Coalition would consult on "how to enhance the model" in the 2013 quadrennium.
