About CSA
Christian Schools Australia is a peak group serving the needs of independent Christian schools nationally. We work to support the principles of religious freedom, choice and equitable funding.
Religious freedom
- The right of Christian communities, whether churches or other expressions of community, to operate schools.
- The right of those schools to choose staff on the basis of faith.
- The right to integrate the beliefs and values of their faith into the curriculum and teaching practices, as well as in the general culture and ethos of the school.
- The right of parents to choose a faith-based education for their children, and receive fair funding support for their decision.
- A funding system which supports our objective that affordable and accessible Christian education to be a realistic choice for all students.
- Additional support for students with disability, indigenous students, students with learning difficulties and those suffering social disadvantage.
