Vicki taught in Christian schools for 15 years, serving in roles such as Coordinator of Policy and Research, Director of Administration and Head of English.
Vicki has a passion for education and for stirring within young people a desire to think independently and critically.
During the teaching phase of her career Vicki was motivated to produce graduates who could articulate their beliefs and engage intelligently in discussions about faith and culture.
Her time at Cedars Christian College and St George Christian School instilled in her a commitment to the transformative influence of Christian education.
Vicki is currently completing a Masters of Education in Management and Leadership at Sydney University and her passion for organisational learning and invitational leadership have arisen from her studies. She holds a Master of Journalism from Wollongong University and a Bachelor of Education from Newcastle University.
Vicki is committed to research as a basis for decision-making, innovation and policy and is looking forward to bringing the combination of her writing and policy analysis skills to her new role as State Executive Officer.
Vicki has been a Christian for 26 years and is currently a part of Newtown Mission which is affiliated with the Uniting Church of Australia. She is both drawn to and challenged by its authentic community and compassion for the marginalised.
Vicki’s interests include playing soccer, snow skiing, reading, good conversation, cooking for friends, film and theatre. She is also a proud and devoted aunt.
