Riverside Christian College’s science teacher Deb White has won the Peter Doherty Award for Excellence in Science and Science Education.

Ms White’s enthusiasm and love of science secured her the award after she was nominated by a teacher’s aide at the school.

Only ten science teachers across the state won the Outstanding Teachers of Science award, winning $5000 each.

Since joining the school three years ago the College’s science department has been updated, helping Ms White pass on her passion to the students.
