Emmanuel Christian Community School is a ministry of the Girrawheen Baptist Church.
It is a K-7 school with a school population of 250 students.
It grew out of the deep concerns that Christian parents had for the direction that society is going, the effects these moves were having on their children, and the desire to exercise their God given responsibility to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Emmanuel Christian Community School is a community school, every member of the ministry team, are an important part of that community of believers in Jesus Christ, which fulfills the Biblical commandments to train children so that all of their education is of the Lord.
In our school, Jesus Christ, is, in a real way, in control. He is the One to whom we look for guidance and help. Our aim is that each student should “Grow up into Christ” in all areas of his or her life. This means teaching and training students from a Christ focused viewpoint so that students see the world from a perspective that is truly Biblical.
The School is the responsibility of the Girrawheen Baptist Church. The School Board has been appointed by the Church to oversee the running of the School. The School Board meets monthly and staff are represented by the Staff Representative and Principal.
