Dr Daniel Pampuch was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Christian Schools Australia in January 2017. Daniel currently works with 170 schools across Australia. His role spans political advocacy, governance, strategic planning, resource development and service provision. His role centres on assisting schools to retain their Christian distinctive and missional focus, as well as guiding them on pathways to further maturity as ministries and centres of educational excellence.
Daniel was previously the Executive Officer of the Uniting Church Schools Commission, overseeing 18 institutions in Queensland. Daniel has 25 years of experience in Christian Education and most recently served 10 years as the Executive Principal of the Crest group of Christian schools and Early Learning Centres in Victoria. Daniel has also served in senior educational leadership positions in Christian schools in Queensland as well as Deputy Head of an international school in Berlin, Germany.
Daniel has a PhD in Next Generation Leadership as well as master’s level degrees in Business, Educational Leadership and Theology. Both Daniel’s Master’s and Doctoral theses were bestowed academic excellence awards recognising their contribution to the field of education. In 2014, Daniel was awarded the Mayoral Certificate for Contribution to Education in the City of Casey; the Federal Government Award for Outstanding Service in Education, as well the CSA award for Outstanding Service to Christian Education in Australia.
Daniel has served on a range of state and national educational boards and committees. Currently he serves on the Global council of ACSI which supports 24 000 schools globally. Locally, he was Chairman of CHIPS (a charity supporting disadvantage and traumatised youth) from 2006 – 2014. For the past three years, Daniel has served as an elder in his local church and Chaired Newlife College which prepares and equips people for service, ministry and leadership within the broader church. Daniel has fellowships with the Governance Institute of Australia and Australian Institute of Management. He is a member of the Australian College of Education Leaders and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Daniel is passionate about leadership development and dedicates a significant amount of time to mentoring and coaching emerging leaders. Daniel is a highly sought-after speaker, presenting both nationally and internationally at conferences, association events and executive retreats.
Daniel is married and his two sons attend a Christian school in Queensland.
