Cassandra comes to the role at CSA with a background in both education and HR/Management Consulting.
She has taught in Christian Schools for the past 8 years, serving most recently as Head of English for Charlton Christian College. Cassandra is committed to serving the Christian Education sector and supporting leadership in schools.
Prior to her experience in education, Cassandra worked in the corporate sector as an HR and Management Consultant. She spent three years internationally in resources (primarily in Asia), and has also gained experience in the banking/finance, pharmaceutical, construction and IT industries. Throughout her 20 years in industry Cassandra, specialised in Organisational Development, Learning and Development and Performance Management, rising to the position of General Manager.
Cassandra holds a Masters in Leadership and Management from The University of Newcastle and a Bachelor of Arts with a Diploma of Education from Macquarie University. She is also accredited in a competency assessment and personality profiling (DiSC). In 2014 Cassandra is commencing a Certificate in Ministry and Leadership with Alphacrusis College through Hope Academy.
A Christian since her teens (with thanks to the 74 Billy Graham Crusade), Cassandra attends Hope UC Woy Woy Campus where she is mentoring young adults in the church as part of her heart for supporting and developing young people.
Cassandra also has a passion for developing teachers in Christian Schools Internationally. She has spent the last three years training Christian teachers in the Philippines during her April break, with New Hope International.
Cassandra has two adult children and lives in a ‘haven’ on the Central Coast. Her interests include; outrigger canoeing, playing in a violin ensemble, art, music, literature, theatre, movies, great food and the company of good friends.
