Cassandra has been in the role of EO NSW/ACT at CSA for 4 years. She has a background in both Christian Education (10 years) and HR/Management Consulting (25 years).
Cass is committed to serving the Christian Education sector and supporting leadership in schools.
Since 2014, Cass has served as EO of NSW/ACT. Over that period she has led the rollover of school registration from CSA to NESA and promoted a range of networks, professional development and advocacy for Christian Schools in NSW and ACT. Cass is a member of the Independent Schools Consultative Committee, the Ombudsman’s Education Sector Roundtable and has established the NSW Christian Education Sector Roundtable which meets with the Education Minister biannually.
Cass also has a national portfolio for leadership development and has led the Emerging Leaders Tour to The Global Leadership Summit plus initiated the Student Global Leadership Summit nationally. She is also developing a mentoring and coaching program for ex-Principals and Executives of Christian Schools along with a leadership program.
Prior to her experience in education, Cass worked in the corporate sector as an HR and Management Consultant. She spent three years internationally in resources (primarily in Asia), and has also gained experience in the banking/finance, pharmaceutical, construction and IT industries. Throughout her 20 years in industry Cassandra, specialised in Organisational Development, Learning and Development and Performance Management, rising to the position of General Manager.
Cass holds a Masters in Leadership and Management from The University of Newcastle and a Bachelor of Arts with a Diploma of Education from Macquarie University. In 2018, Cass commenced a PHD in Organisational Leadership through Excelsia.
A Christian since her teens (with thanks to the 74 Billy Graham Crusade), Cass attends Coast Community Church where she is an active member of the community.
Cass also has a passion for developing teachers in Christian Schools Internationally. She has spent the last three years training Christian teachers in the Philippines with New Hope International and has worked with Samaritans Purse in Cambodia on the Education Project.
Cass has two adult children and lives in a ‘haven’ on the Central Coast. Her interests include; outrigger canoeing, art, music, literature, theatre, movies, great food and the company of good friends.
