The Deputy Premier, Jackie Trad, has responded to CSA’s series of questions in the lead up to the Queensland State Election on behalf of Queensland Labor.
She confirmed that a re-elected Labor Government ‘supports the law as it currently stands, which means that freedoms you currently enjoy will be maintained’.
In relation to the development of new schools she referred to the new planning legislation passed earlier this year which means that non-state schools are able to seek Community Infrastructure Designation, streamlining the local government approval process.
Responses to questions in relation to Special Assistance Schools and funding largely sought to turn the focus on the Commonwealth’s role in these areas.
