Christian school principals from across Western Australia met today with the WA Education Minister, Hon Sue Ellery, to discuss a wide range of issues relating to the provision of education in the state.
The Minister addressed a number of questions from schools including:
- Where do you see the next big investment in education being directed? For example, trade training courses, VET courses, special needs or Early Learning Centres?
- What is the government currently doing to enhance the quality of our education system in Western Australia?
- Are there any changes planned to improve and streamline the school registration process?
In addition, Tracy Holmes, WA State Chair talked about the Gender Symposium undertaken earlier in the year and presented her with a copy of CSA’s Thriving in Community resource.
The Executive Principal of Carey Baptist College, Jennifer Argue also spoke to the recently completed Relational Schools research and the importance of relationships in Christian schools. A copy of the research was presented to the Minister.
