On June 6-7 a delegation of eleven Queensland Christian school Principals and school leaders, led by CSA Qld SEO Andrew Johnson, bravely headed south to chilly Adelaide, where they visited Temple Christian School (Mile End campus), Cedar College (Northgate), Tyndale Christian School (Salisbury East) and King’s Baptist Grammar School (Wynn Vale).
CSA SA also hosted a dinner at the Watershed Function Centre, Mawson Lakes, on the Monday evening where Qld and SA school leaders could network and fellowship in a more informal way. We were pleased that Dr Johan Roux, Principal of Tabor and formerly of Christian Heritage College in Brisbane, was able to attend the dinner as our valued guest.
The two-day experience was full of professional learning and relationship building. Robust conversations around innovations and best practice in Christian schools could be heard right through the intensive schedule. The exchange was a blessing to all involved and there is already talk of a return trip by South Australians to Queensland Christian schools early next year – watch this space!
Special thanks to all those at the four host schools who provided meals and refreshments for the visitors and prepared interesting and valuable programs. There is no doubt that our Christian school movement is flourishing and that we are indeed stronger together.
