The importance of allowing all young people to be given the opportunity to access learning is vital to my understanding of a democratic model of education. The core business of educators should be to be involved in reducing barriers to learning which can emerge from such variants as cultural background and cognitive or physical limitations. Schools should be places of inclusiveness, where diversification is not seen as a burden but rather as a measure which allows all students to reach their God-given potential.
