A networking opportunity for leaders in Queensland
The focus of this meeting will be the management of staff in the context of a Christian School and take the form of a panel discussion. This event is well suited to your school’s executive team, as well as other relevant or aspiring leaders in your school.
Upon registration of this event, you will be given the opportunity to send in some questions and/or scenarios in relation to human resource management that you would like our panel to address. There will also be opportunity to address questions to the panel during the network meeting.
The panel will consist of Mark Spencer, Director of Public Policy, Christian Schools Australia and Jill Healey, Leadership Development and Flame/Fuse Facilitator, Christian Schools Australia. Read more about our panel, below.
With nearly thirty years professional experience serving Christian schools, Mark Spencer was appointed in a national policy role in 2010. Mark is responsible for advocacy on behalf of Christian schools in a wide range of educational policy, as well as areas relating to religious freedom and equal opportunity and discrimination law, both at the Commonwealth and State or Territory level. In addition to his advocacy role, Mark also provides initial advice to schools in all non-educational operations including funding, finance, governance, management, media management and industrial relations.
Jill Healey heads up leadership development at Christian Schools Australia, serving as the Flame and Fuse Facilitator.
Jill currently serves on two Christian school boards, is a Board member for Focus on the Family Australia, as well as an active member of the Victorian Independent Schools BGA Board. Jill is a champion of Christian women in leadership and specialist education provision in Christian schools. She believes in the power of God to transform lives and bring hope to young people through Christian schooling.
Andrew Taylor, School Development Officer, Christian Schools Australia
Andrew Taylor has spent over 30 years in education as a teacher, cluster educator, performance & development leader, deputy and acting principal, and school improvement consultant, and has spent the last 15 years focusing on building capacity in teachers and school leaders. Additionally, Andrew is an experienced facilitator of professional learning, having developed and lead staff curriculum days, small group professional learning sessions
