SUMMARY:NSW/ACT Principals' Retreat 2021
DESCRIPTION:We will once again be meeting together with Principals from all over NSW to connect\, fellowship and share experiences from our very unusual 2020. We are thrilled to announce that our Keynote will be Jon Bergmann; popular speaker\, writer and thinker in the areas of theology\, culture and the future. We hope that Jon will be joining us in person (Covid dependent) Read more about Jon Bergmann . \nWe will also be joined on Friday by special guest The Honourable Mike Baird AO former Premier of NSW. \n  \n  \nThe theme for 2021 will be “The New* Economy of Faith”.   “People are usually afraid of change because they fear the unknown. But the single greatest constant of human history is that everything changes.” \nHow do Christians begin to grasp the evolving landscape of the modern world at the same time as remaining faithful to the central message of Jesus Christ? How do Christian educators shape generations of future Christ-followers without knowing what the landscape of their future even looks like? What are the core virtues of being a disciple in an era defined by pandemics\, partisan politics and fractious social dialogue? \nFuelled by the conviction that “in Christ\, all things hold together” (Col.1:17)\, and by the mission of God that has always remained central to the Christian church\, I want to explore some of these challenges together as we look toward a world that fully reflects the glory of God to all people. By attempting to understand the cultural context we find ourselves\, we will look to the Scriptures as a source of hope for the future. This is a time to lean into the changes we are experiencing without fear or suspicion but with eyes that are eager to see all that God is doing. \nProgram will be emailed once registered and closer to the event. \nRegistrations are closed \n  \n
