CSA is very pleased to announce the launch of Stage 3 of God’s Big Story.
This involves the intentional development of high quality programs and curriculum units, working within the eight Australian Curriculum Learning Areas, for the Christian school context.
The Focus Learning Area for the 2018 Symposium is English (for curriculum leaders and F-12 English Teachers).
A team from Christian Heritage College’s School of Education, led by Dr Craig Murison including Cass Pendlebury from CSA, has recently worked on:
- Developing a simple over-arching rationale for a GBS approach to English in the curriculum
- Creating an overarching set of ‘Big Ideas’ and ‘Essential Questions’ mapped to GBS 2.0 and the Australian Curriculum: English
- Developing an exemplar model for unit development in the AC: English Curriculum.
This work will be presented at the Symposium and a series of guided workshops will be facilitated with delegates working in year level groups, using the exemplar model, to produce creative and innovative units of work.
Come expecting to be energised, to gain fresh perspectives, to learn, to participate and to contribute.
A professional learning participation certificate listing relevant AITSL teacher standards and CSA Christian Distinctive teacher standards will be issued following completion of the Symposium.
