Once again Principals from CSA schools all around NSW and the ACT gathered at Macquarie Graduate School of Management for an opportunity to fellowship and learn together. Over the 3 days of the Retreat the Principals were challenged and inspired by keynote Dr Michael (Mike) Frost, a renowned Missiologist from Morling College.
Each morning a different participant led the devotions and throughout the day snapshots were given by principals to share in three areas; Personal, Professional and Profound. We also had time for sharing new ideas and initiatives in the Circle of Knowledge on the first night after a very competitive game of Ten Pin Bowling – all hail the victor, len Westcott from Parkes Christian School.
Thursday afternoon we held the NSW/ACT State Meeting, led by the State Chair Ian Liney and then headed off for dinner at the Governor in Macquarie Park before completing the retreat with Mike Frost leading us all in Communion Friday morning and a farewell lunch on-site. Jill Healey (Ex-Principal from Flinders CC) joined us via Zoom after the State Meeting to launch the FLAME (Female Leaders) and FUSE (Emerging Leaders) initiatives from CSA.
This retreat has grown in numbers steadily since coming under the banner of CSA in 2018 and many of the Principals have stated that it is the ‘must do’ CSA NSW/ACT event in their calendar each year. They go away refreshed, renewed, re-energised and ready to lead their schools through another year.
