As mentioned in our earlier briefing the Tasmanian State election will be held on Saturday 3 March.
On behalf of member schools CSA wrote to the two major parties with a number of questions on issues of importance to Christian schools in Tasmania. The letters and the response received from the Premier, Will Hodgman, on behalf of the Liberal Party is included below.
Unfortunately the ALP did not respond to our request. We understand that a number of other groups have received a similar lack of response to their requests.
In order to provide some information on likely priorities for an ALP Government, if elected, we have attached details of motions passed at the most recent ALP State Conference in 2017 on a range of broader ‘social’ issues. This summary was collated by the Australian Christian Lobby and we thank them for its use.
Schools should feel free to communicate to their school communities using any of this material.
